Wildflowers: Yellow Michigan wildflower

    This tall (3.5 feet) yellow wildflower was photographed in August in Oakland County, Michigan.

    I assume it is some variety of sunflower, but I don't really know. Can you help me to identify it?

    Helianthus grosseserratus (Sawtooth Sunflower)?

    That seeds right. At another expert's advice, I went and confirmed that the stem is glabrous which seems to confirm Helianthus grosseserratus. Thank you for your help.
