Hi, I have this mystery plant I met years ago (2010) in the Atlantic Forest in the state Rio de Janeiro. I only found this single one in the dense shade of the forest floor. It could be a juvenile vine, unfortunately I have no flowers nor fruits to show, only this single photo. At the time I also didn't think of photographing the backside, which could have been helpful.. Any suggestions very much appreciated, my searches have been fruitless! the second version of the photo, I've put a red arrow that suggests it could be a vine Myriam
While looking at a document with a description of your other leaf posting, I came across a drawing of a leaf that I thought looked similar to this, plant name Austrocritonia velutina almost nothing on it online, except a herbarium specimen that does not show white veins, http://www.ufjf.br/floraserranegra/...strocritonia-velutina-gardner-r-m-king-h-rob/ A long description of the document and how to get it is in the other thread: Brazilian shade-loving groundcover for id please
Thanks Wendy, I'll have a look at it again, but I don't have much hopes.. Austrocritonia velutina does occur in the Rio state but the herbarium specimen seem to have soft haired stems and the leaves probably soft haired too, so disguising the venation, hence the species name velutina.
