In The Garden: White Flowers

Here are 2 plants I decided to let grow in my cactus garden. I have never seen them before or maybe I just never noticed things like this growing up in Texas.

1 and 2. Looks like a Centaurea sp. See....

Centaurea americana certainly grows in Texas. Common name Basket flower. Good close up pics here for you to check the foliage. See...

3. I do not think Gypsophila is right. The single flowers have 5 petals. Your pic shows 4 petals..
Praps someone else can id it.
