In The Garden: What tree/plant is this?

    Hello experts,
    I have recently moved to new home and have got a tree (bit bushy type). I am very new to gardening. The tree have recently for some new buds. Can you please help me to identify what this tree/plant is? I have attached pic of the bud and leaves. Please let me know if any additional info is required.

    A (more or less) wild rose. Those are not buds but hips (fruits).

    You can eat the rose hips!

    Only the red fleshy part; not the bristles surrounding the seeds inside, which are very unpleasant to eat! (like a mouthful of itching powder)
