Dear pros, please, help me to identify this tree...Its height is about 1.5 m now; I am not even sure if it is a tree (it might be a shrub as well). Its leaves (some of them) look like they were burnt (maybe my husband watered it under the bright sunlight, I am not aware of reasons the leaves get brown and dead).

I think you are 100% right. I vaguely remember that this plant was blossoming with the yellow flowers. I wonder if the leaves been damaged by my husband or just the bright sun (we had a few very hot days in our area recently). I guess there is no remedy for these poor leaves :(

    THANK YOU for your help!

    I'd water it.

Water everything in the garden daily. Will water this one longer than usually. Thank you for your advice!

Water long enough to penetrate to desired depth and then wait a bit, so the soil does not become airless. If you are not mulching that would improve results markedly - it usually does. Soil not protected by mulch is baked by the sun during summer, greatly increasing the need for watering.
