What plant is it ?

    Seen in France in last September near Vichy. What is it?. Nobody around me knows it. Thanks for your help in advance.

    JPierre, I'm curious if you had considered that species as a possibility, but discounted it because some web sites listed it as having opposite leaves (which it clearly doesn't).

    On a french site it said that the leaves are "alternes" and they are so I could think that it the right name given to the plant. The site is a serious one. But a mistake is always possible...So I would say that the plant could be a Bertorea...

    Sorry, I suppose I was a bit confusing. The mistake was on other sites that said Berteroa incana has opposite leaves.

    Berteroa incana does have alternate leaves, and I agree with Lila's ID.
