What kind of tree is this?

    I would be grateful to find out what kind of tree this is. This tree is growing in vancouver and is approximately 60 ft tall, an excellent shade tree, flowers in late July /August (now). it gives off a pungent odor just before it flowers. see photos. this is my first post and I hope the attatchments work. Thank You

    could be ash or tree of heaven
    more likly to be tree of heaven Ailanthus altissima as tipularia says
