I have a few milk thistles in my garden which are flowering now, but also one unfamiliar thistle. It's not flowering, and the spiky ball is much more robust than the milk thistle. The leaves are much bigger, and the leaves and stem are not so prickly as the milk thistle. Any ideas? Mostly I'd like to know if it's good for tea (or at least safe to try). Thanks!

Globe thistle (Echinops sp.). I can't answer the question though.
