I grew this Swiss Chard last year, but I don't know what kind it is. I grew two kinds of chard last year, this kind and Rhubarb. The Rhubarb had darker red veins and leaves and was less hardy than this one. I'd like to grow this kind exclusively because it was so hardy and tasty - after growing well all spring and summer, it took on a very sweet taste in the Fall. It survived uncovered until Thanksgiving in Southern Minnesota.

The veins are more pink than red with white in the middle.

Are you trying to show by your photos that some of this variety had yellow stems and some had red stems? If so, the chard variety may have been 'Rainbow'.

Seed strains such as one mentioned produce plants of varying coloration, in the case of 'Rainbow' there is much variation.

All those images are of the same plant. This wasn't part of any rainbow or "bright lights" variety pack. The seed packet was of an "Italian Salad Blend Mix." Out of an entire row of seeds, there might be one chard seed. The packet says it's "Argentata" which is another name for "Bionda a Costa" - but it can't be that, because Argentata is a pure white-veined variety. I'd really like to find out the specific kind, because it grew so well and tasted so good. The other chards are good, but this one is best.
