What kind of Maple leaf is on $1 million Canadian coin?

    I am confused. With all those differently shaped Maple leaves depicted as our national symbol, what kind of Maple leaf is on this coin? https://online.kitco.com/1M

    It's a "maple leaf design". Note the little maple leaf over the node. None of them would really have three leaves at the node. It looks to me like Acer saccharinum, silver maple.
