In The Garden: What is this??!

    Hello all
    I hope someone can help me :)

    I have just discovered a plant lying on my back doorstep and I am so troubled as I have no idea what it is. It is like nothing I've ever seen before!

    It looks like a lemon, except it has indents in it? The only lemon varieties I know are regular old lemons and bush lemons so??? What is this.
