In The Garden: What is this Texas plant?

    flower.jpg Picture taken 8 AM Texas time. Only one flower open, all the rest closed. Some are yellow and some are pink/fuchsia/magenta/purple. The blooms close by day and open by night and are very fragrant. The plant dies in the late fall and comes back in the spring.

    Thank you! It does look like that and fits the description. 3 of them pop up in my yard every year, a lavendar one in a corner, and a yellow and a magenta one grow side by side outside my husband's office. The fragrance is amazing. Like the native Lantana that also grows in my yard, I have no idea where they came from, but I do appreciate them.
