My best guess at the moment is fairybells, Disporum trachycarpum. If so, the seeds will become velvety red-orange as they mature.
it doesn't seem to be any of that family that i can find. there never seems to be a colored bloom the reddish pod opens to the greenish thing as shown in the picture
Do you have a few more clues? Is this growing in a cultivated area or is it growing wild? If wild, what sort of habitat?

more pics, no latex in the leaves or stem , don't know the habitat, it was started in the flower garden , I believe from seed thanks Martin
