We got our house last fall and now I have some bulbs coming up on the south side of my house and have no clue what they could be...

Thanks so much for the help!

Looks like Iris rhizome to me, but it's going to be easier for you to wait until it shoots some more substantial leaves and maybe a flower for a concrete ID.

the leaf buds do look like my bearded iris. the bulbets that are there remind me more of daylily, though - i don't see too much 'rhizome' and with the bearded iris the rhyzome itself gets larger and splits off...doesn't form small bulbets.

although i don't grow other types of iris (yet!! have some another type to plant this year), i know some of the other types have slightly different bulbs/rhizomes...so, maybe it's one of those other types??

Flowers will tell us for sure. Crocosmia looks like that when it's young too.
