I took these photos in second week of May on Saturna Island, BC. Can anyone tell me what the beautiful blue wildflowers are (pls right rotate second pic) ? They were on a steep ocean cliff facing southwest, away from the nibbling deer.....did not see any others around the area, just on this cliff. Thanks!
It's a delphinium. This site has photos and information about the species native to or occurring in BC: http://linnet.geog.ubc.ca/ShowDBImage/Gallery.aspx?st=0&latinName=delphinium&gr=delphinium
Thank you for sending me to E-Flora (I'm new to plant identification)! It looks like Delphinium menziesii.
