This flower grows on the side of my church in Southern California, Northern Los Angeles area. It has been there for many years and no one remembers who planted it or what it is called.

It is bushy, approximately 3 feet high, and is always loaded with purple flowers approximately 1 ½ inches in diameter. Very drought tolerant (As we almost never water it) and appears to propagate and spread through runners.

This plant will have dozens and dozens of purple flowers on it everyday, all summer long. Except for winter, when we cut it back, I have never seen it without blooms. Humming birds love it.

    What is its name?

    Bob
