what do you think this is

    its a Geranium type of plant, the stem is about 3 feet long about an inch and a half at the base, over all the plant is about 5 1/2 feet tall the flowers are purple and the leaves feel like velvit and are verigated-dark green to white i was told it was a geranium tree, thanks for any help. MURF

    It may be some sort of Lavatera. Is that the actual color of the leaves or is there something wrong with the picture.

    Not a Geraniaceae, but a Malvaceae.

    nothing is wrong with the picture, the leaves seems to glow there so bright almost ghostly in the right light. the plant was given to us about 3 years ago, at tat time it was only about 12 inches tall and the leaves were mostly dark green, its realy a very nice looking plant, this is the first year it had flower's. also this year we noticed a small plant at the base about 3 inches away we removed it to a pot and now it is about 7 inches tall, id like to thank you for your quick replies and information.
