I have been trying to grow maples from seed that I collected around the neighborhood, including some acer griseum (paperbark maple). A few of the seeds have sprouted, but the leaves do not look anything like acer griseum. I realize that juvenile foliage can be very different than adult foliage - is that the case here? The alternative would be that I mixed in some seeds from a different tree and forgot about them, but in that case what plant does it appear to be? (Nikko maple, perhaps?) Thanks, Jim
Definitely not maples. Remind me a bit of Citrus seedlings - is it possible someone might have spat some orange pips into the pots?
