"Welcome, Xxxx. You last visited: 4 Hours Ago at 10:09 AM" The problem is that if I make a brief visit (to look up a single item, or because I only have a brief moment to look), it then leaves all the other threads which I have not seen yet, below the tag line The threads below have not been updated since your last visit but still contain unread posts. Usually, this line indicates the end of postings since I last looked, and therefore need to look no further. But if there's been even a very brief subsequent visit without having looked all the way through, I then have no way of knowing how much further down to scroll to find more posts that I might still want to look at since my last full visit. Is there any way a short visit (e.g. one where only one or two posts were visited) can be tagged, so it does not get logged as a visit and re-set the timings? Or that I can instruct the display to show all threads since the last-but-one visit, or the last full visit?
Not in the default settings, and I don't think anyone has made a hack for such a thing. The solution is to not make quick visits! *grin*
