Found this in Maltese countryside. It seemingly some kind of large seed — presumably with seeds inside. It’s got a woody, dried texture and a bulge in the centre. It also has fault lines across the side, like its two pieces you could split open. I found two of them, so, here’s two of these mystery seeds with the case of an iPhone 12 Mini for scale.
