volunteers in the garden

    Ok... the last post was identified quick... HELP!

    Also if you don't mind, I'd like a common name too.

    PS. I put my house key in there to give you an idea of the size of the plant.

    1) ground weed, very watery

    2) I think it's a pepper of some kind, but I didn't plant there.

    3) Maybe a flower... I let it grow to se if it was a watermelon...I know it's not now, but waiting for an ID before yanking it.

    My first thought was castor bean but then I thought differently.

    If you look closely you can see the glaucous 'bloom' (not blossom) on the stem which is distinctive on Ricinus.
