    Hi
I am trying to id this plant that has sprung up in my garden. It is unlike any other plant ( weed or not) that has sprung up. We built the house some 2 years ago --but the lot has been part of a farm for some 70 years.
    Thank you
    Bert

Reminds me strongly of Manitoba Maple seedlings - Acer negundo. Of course, I could be wrong, and they could be young walnut trees.

Thank you. There are walnut and hazel nuts in the area and seed may have come down the stream where the plant has sprouted.

Black Walnut Juglans nigra. The leaves on seedlings have far fewer leaflets than those on adult trees.

Thank you. It is mostl likely a walnut since there are numerous ones in the area and may have floated down in the stream at the back of the yard.
    Cheers,
