I feel that I should know the answer to this myself...but I don't!

What is the name of the herb which tastes like malt vinegar?

I have eaten some in a mixed salad and would love to grow some. I have tried to identify it by looking up on the web but without luck.

I am sure that someone will be able to tell me. Hopefully, anyway.

    Best wishes, T.

Sorrel is wonderfully tart...don't know if I would say malt vinegar though.

Thank you for your reply. I shall buy some sorrel and see!

The herb was very tart and, of course especially with oil and vinegar dressing on, might have been what I was eating.

As a child when stung by stinging nettles I used dock leaves to ease the sting....they used to taste vinegary to me!

Thank you again for your help,

    Trevone.
