Hi; I've gone through my small six book library and have come up with nothing remotely close to this tiny flower. It's maybe 1cm in length, has even smaller leaves that are opposite each other at the joints on spindly stalks that branch profusely. Found near a hillside spring fed bog but in the drier part. HELP! Please

Thanks Harri, "Cerastium," from the Greek "Keras," meaning horn; cool. I've never seen any that looked like this one around here before; only found it like this: I'll be on the watch for it now. regards, Wally
Thought I replied earlier... Thanks again Harri; I'll be watching for this one in other places now. I've only noticed it when in bloom with the petals extended so this was new to me. I'm amazed at how tightly the petals have closed into the horn like shape. Or does the plant develop other parts while the original petals wither? regards, Wally
