I found out this unknown plant half a year ago in my fowerbed. I thought it was the same plant we have planted adjacent to it, however it grew super fast and tall , and it looks different. Not sure if this is wild plant and hestitate to get rid of. It now has yellow flowers. Do you know what plant is this?
Yes, I think Scot's broom as well -- in which case, this is an invasive plant in this part of British Columbia.
Ditto to Common Broom Cytisus scoparius. First pic also has one of the evergreen Asian Euonymus species at the left of the pic, also potentially invasive.
It would be a good idea to cut the plant down before it sets and releases seed. One plant can produce hundreds and they germinate well. I'd put it in a bag and dispose of it off your property.
The shrub behind looks like Euonymus japonicus. Unlike in the similarly wet summer climate of eastern North America the escaping of cultivation by plant species originating in monsoonal regions of eastern Asia to produce large infestations in Southwest B.C. and the Pacific Northwest is not routine.
