Unknown Lily ?

    Attached along a Rail to Trail path - no idea if native or volunteer. Have been searching in Liliales, but unable to match.

    Flower parts are not symmetrical, so may be not Liliales.
    Any photo of the whole plant?

    Looks like a Gladiolus.

    Thank you! Found a reference to a wild Gladiolus in Western Australia - looks like a good match for the genus. The flower stalk had a few flowers on, but not crowded like the florists Gladiolus. Also, the curl at the petal tips was unusual. The WA species is Gladiolus caryophyllaceus. Foolishly, took no other photos of the plant.
