In The Garden: Unknown Hosta

    I have this hosta in the back yard that I am trying to ID. Sorry this picture is not when it was full earlier in the year but it had a rough summer but it produced many seed pods. It looks like a 'Sum and Substance' but unable to tell exactly. Can anyone help ID this hosta. Thank you.

    There are literally thousands of Hosta cultivars and so identification is almost impossible.

    If it was not ordered in from a specialist or gotten from a hobbyist same one may be present at local outlets in season. Look for it at flowering time, so you have those to compare in addition to the leaves.
