I'm just thumbing through a field guide here, being no expert on Tennessee wildflowers, but how about Thorn Apple, also called Jimsonweed, Datura stramonium? Here's a link to some pictures: http://www.missouriplants.com/Bluealt/Datura_stramonium_page.html
Re: Unknown TN wildflower Hi, Ron - tks for info. This plant apparently has some poisonous characteristics. Do you recommend NOT transplanting these near home? Are these plants dangerous to horses, donkeys or dogs -- or humans -- by touch, taste, smell, etc. Tks to anyone with info about this plant.
