Here are some things in my backyard that I can't identify. Can anyone please help? Thanks in advance.

Previous owner was overrun by deer (I've put up deer fencing so no more deer), so the majority of plants were picked clean up to about 5-6 feet. I don't know if that is the problem with these or if they just need pruning.

    1) What is this and can it be pruned back into a more compact and pleasing shape? The stems are square and it's about 5-6 feet tall.

    2) What is this and can it be pruned back into a more compact and pleasing shape? Flowers are about 2" across and the whole thing is about 5-6 feet tall.

    3) What is this and can it be pruned back into a more compact and pleasing shape? It's growing at a 45 deg. angle and several base stems are currently held together with fabric straps. Photos are front, back, and flower. It's about 6 feet from the base to the tip.

    4) Last item. This is planted in the middle of a flower bed. It's about 12' tall and the several stemmed base is held together with fabric straps. It's almost bare up to about 5-6'. Don't know what it is, but it resembles some Yews I have planted elsewhere for a hedge. Can it be pruned back (severely) for a less leggy shape?

Thank you very much. I'm glad that Yews can be seriously pruned!
