Hi this is my first post, A friend of mine took this picture in the jungle of Panama and I've been searching high and low to find the scientific name for this beauty. If anyone could help, I'd really appreciate it.
Maybe this should be moved to the stumper section, lol. My only far out guess is that it's in the Tropaeolaceae (nasturtium) family. Anyone have any clues or leads?
We have it Ecuador too, it's called "Corazon de Jesus" locally but nobody has been able to give me a scientific name....
mplant is correct! Passiflora membranacea it is. if i'd looked at a close-up of the fuchsia, i'd have realized that the flowers weren't the same.
Wow, amazing thanks so much everyone for all the work that went into digging up this sucker. Now all I need to do is find a source of this plant to use in my work.
