In The Garden: Tree's will to live

    Hi, Wondering if anyone can help me identify this tree. My parents cut it down after it mysteriously started growing out of the small side ditch beside their house. I cut off the thickest branch and planted it. Didn't think it would survive but it did. Just started to show new leaves.

    Can someone tell me what kind of tree this is and how I can help it to grow? Thanks!

    Maybe give it a few more days for the leaves to fully flush, and then add those pics.
