    I think that it still must be cold enough there so that the beetles, heat, and lack of water that are effecting forests elsewhere aren't being felt there as stated in the article.

    I think, increase growth near the tundra may be of consolation for the time being, but as that area warms up it will face the same scourages that effect areas elsewere. What that time frame is wil depend upon what extent that global warming continues to effect the region.

    I would be interested if there are any trees that are surviving despite being attacked by the above and knowing why they are surviving. Are there any supertrees out there?
