This magnificent tree stands at the entrance to the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, West Sussex England.

Photos show tree, two of bark, and leaves.
Oddly, although I looked there were no leaves lying on the ground that I could photograph.

    Any ID welcome please.
    Thank you

Looks to be a Eucalyptus. Given it’s in the UK, it might be a snow gum (pauciflora) or perhaps a cider gum (gunii) or globulus. Someone here will likely confirm the species for you. It is a magnificent tree indeed.

Agree with a Eucalyptus, and agree with Cider Gum Eucalyptus gunnii or Snow Gum E. pauciflora the most likely. Can safely rule out E. globulus, that has much larger leaves (and is very rare away from the mildest west coast locations).

Bark and foliage like those in the cider gum alliance. And not like a snow gum.
