    Common Whitebeam Sorbus aria, most probably the cultivar 'Majestica'.

    Thank you. That was my guess but I just couldn't find a decent enough picture on the internet to confirm it.

    'Lutescens' and 'Majestica' have both been sold and planted in the region. Whitebeam street trees can be seen in Vancouver.

    Thanks to all who have replied. It was my guess anyway but nice to have it confirmed. I think I saw them in Vancouver on Arbutus street between 41 and 49th avenue. However, I would still like to know their origin. Query Italy only because we had many Italians settle in this neighbourhood years ago.

    Grafted named forms like these planted comparatively recently for ornamental purposes by municipal street departments and so forth would not normally have anything to do with historical migration and settlement patterns of components of the human population.
