    well , I have 2 guesses, My first reaction to the picture was that the convoluted leaves reminded me of a croton......but I cant find a pic on the web that looks like yours. The second thought I had was a ficus.......and there are quite a number of different ones out there. Just some thoughts ....would love to know what it is . Hope you get your answer......I vote for the croton.

    It might be Cupaniopsis anacardioides, carrotwood.

    If it bleeds white 'sap', it's a ficus of some kind, and I wish I had it!
