Hello. I've recently moved from an apartment to my first home, and am discovering the joys of taking care of my landscaping. Previous owners seemed to know quite a bit about gardening, but I do not. I'd like to identify some trees and shrubs, so I can research them to know how to take care of them.

    Tree A
Pics 1-3 are same tree. #1 is from mid may, #2-3 end of may

    Tree B
Pics 4-6 are same tree. #4 is from mid may, #5-6 end of may

    Tree C
Pics 7-9 are same tree. #7 is from mid may, #8-9 end of may

It didn't dawn on me that Tree A and B were the same, since one has bloomed and the other hasn't. I was delightedly surprised to see those little pink flowers one morning on Tree A, that I didn't see the resemblance in the leaves on Tree B.

On to some research now. I don't think my pictures show it, but the former owners have cut quite a few branches on Tree B, so I'm wondering why they did that.

    Thank you Ron.

The birch is probably Paper Birch Betula papyrifera.
