Tree/bush with fuzzy reddish buds

    I am not sure if this is classified as a tree or a bush. The leaves are somewhat thick and it has very fuzzy buds. We could not find this in any of our tree books, but it may be technically a bush.

    Anyone know what this could be? It is in Radio Range park in Indian Hill, Ohio.

    Looks like rusty blackhaw, Viburnum rufidulum

    You are right, it does look much like that plant but it does not appear to have the "rusty hairs" that are an identifying trait (according to wikipedia) but you could not have known that since I did not post that photo because it is not very good.

    My wife took a few leaves from the plant and we just double-checked, there do not appear to be hairs on the underside of the leaves. My eyes are not what they once were, so I cannot focus on such small features like that anymore.

    But from what you can see it is probably a Viburnum species? We don't know Viburnums at all. Aren't there hundreds of species of Viburnums?
