For users who have registered, you can toggle the display of the Amazon book link in the right column sidebar on or off by doing the following: 1) Click on My Settings in the upper green navigation bar. 2) Click on Edit Options in the left column menu. 3) Scroll down the page to the area where it says "Thread Display Options". 4) Change Display Amazon Books to "Off" from "On". 5) Scroll down the page a bit more and click on "Save Changes".
I've removed the Amazon book image and link from the right sidebar, and deactivated the toggle for displaying it (in case it does come back one day, your settings will be saved).
