When I bought this it was a very woody cutting with just one or two leaves. Recently it grew a shoot which is much greener and softer. The thorns are about an inch long. Last week it flowered - they stand out to me because there are two petals in a curved, 'overlapped' arrangement. I've attached a picture. Any help identifying this would be greatly appreciated.

definitely a euphorbia. not sure about 'milli' though - leaves don't seem right for that. there are a lot of varieties now, though, so, it could be that one.
