Wildflowers: Tall, yellow wildflower ID, Michigan

    Is this Tall Tickseed - Coreopsis tripteris? Is it some sort of Helianthus?

    The plant is very tall, over 6 feet high. This was photographed in southern Michigan in late August.

    I earlier posted this as a possible Helianthus but got no answer. Now I think it may be something else altogether. Can you help?

    Something like tall tickseed (Coreopsis tripteris). Definitely from Coreopsideae tribe.
