i am going to try to attach some photos jpg this is an old shrub - came with the garden in Greater Vancouver BC area it is approx 8 to 10 feet tall with a multi-stem and the top of the branches cascade outward - width is approx 6 feet diameter. it blooms now (late May in to June) blooms are small, trumpet shape, clustered, each bloom about size of a nickel coin pale pink color blooms have no remarkable scent bees like it leaves are small and - i believe - are deciduous - though I might be mistaken on that point there are no berries or anything like that. I know it is not ocean spray (the wild shrub), lilac, mock orange, rhodo, or wigelia (spell?) if you know the latin name, I would sure appreciate the info thank you
solved~! and so promptly thank you! I think it was planted in circa 1968 - it looks great for 2 weeks (bloom time, June) and offers some shade and safe haven for feeder birds and towhee birds to hop about in - it's a bit messy the rest of the year ... small dried-up twigs and old flowers fall off it - however, it's very easy to get along with - not much water, not much food - etc.
