this plant has been growing in my garden for the past 3 years since we baught our new house. its pretty and all, but it smells of human doodoo when it blooms and right after it blooms it dies completely and then comes back, its a bulb. and its wierd the roots come out the top of the bulb arround like a crown and the stem and leaves will come out the middle. theres a pic below

Sauromatum guttatum (Voodoo lily)? Certainly fits the 'stinky' aspect, and is a bulb. Very cool flower. The pictures would be good, if possible.
