southern tree damaged by freeze, needs ID

    This tree, located in New Orleans, went through a severe freeze and lost most of the small limbs. It is trying to regrow and has started flowering. Please help with ID

    These are remnants of the fruit to the right of the flower... Radermachera sinica I believe.

    Good to know I was on the right track when I started looking into Bignoniaceae, didn't find Radermachera though.
