This question has come up via email, so I thought I'd share it here. Yes, you can add people to an "ignore" list. What this does is replace their posts with "This message is hidden because (username) is on your ignore list." To do this, go to My Settings -> Buddy / Ignore Lists -> type in the name under the Ignore section and click submit. I don't really advocate doing this, but it is there as an option.
