The first is a shrub about 5-6 feet tall, and extremely popular with hummingbirds. It's from the upper Amazon, but I've also seen it in cloud forests.
The second is a liana from a tropical humid transitional forest; I assume those are the flowers but I could be wrong.
The third really really reminds me of Vaccinium by berry shape, but the leaves are hirsute and the venation is all wrong. Any clues?
The fourth are lilies, but what kind? They seem to be endemic to Ecuador.

The fourth reminds me of Crocosmia, the naturalised ones you see in Cornwall. Used to be Montbretia when I was seeing them as a child.

To he who speaks for the trees. Love that!
No. 4 is Crocosmia (aka montbretia). Native to tropical & So Africa. Formerly called tritonia: related to freesia, ixia, & sparaxis.
This appears to be one of the original ones, before the hybridizers got hold of them. My guess would be masoniorum. It's the orangish one. Lucifer is the really redish one. Can't remember name of the yellow one.
Someone swore to me she'd seen a deep burgundy Crocosmia. Has anyone else seen one? She not real flower id wise so I have my doubts....barb

Thanks, guys! Crocosmia seems to be an exact match; neat - I'd pegged them for lily relatives, not iris familiars. (and btw Barbara, I'm she who speaks for the trees...)

Now if only we could figure out the first three.

An easily made mistake unless it is pretty obvious I suppose...
