    Looks a lot like a pink Crinum lily I have. I am not sure about the botanical name but that should be a start...

    Is that the same as a Veldt lilly? from Sth Africa,

    Yes, I believe it is. In Britain Crinum is normally white flowered. Crinum x powellii is the pink form of it. See.....
