At community farm in Richmond, I was trying to locate
some purple tomato reported by a friend. In the search,
found these reddish stalks. I remember seeing something
like these in Costa Rica. Are they some kind of ginger
    plants.

Thanks very much. Another poisonous plant.
Shouldn't be grown in the farm. God bless those
who steal it for food !

Also attached is Zingiber spectabile - Beehive Ginger
    shot in Costa Rica.
