These small, orange rock flowers were photographed in midsummer on Iceland's Solheimajökull Glacier -- can anyone identify these for me?

I don't think these are flowers either (as in your other posting). The photo isn't clear enough to enlarge successfully. Saxifraga aizoides sometimes has orange flowers in Europe (in this locale, I only see yellow) though (as I said) I don't think these are flowers or a Saxifraga.

So if they are not flowers, what are they?

    And thank you.

It's just my impression that these may not be flowers.... Someone will probably come along and ID it momentarily.
Is it possible on this site to post a larger picture, or do you have additional clearer photos?

I'd suggest it may be the foliage of a Sedum sp.? For example, the leaves of Sedum lanceolatum (which doesn't occur there) can be highly coloured in the alpine zone here. Googling some images of Iceland sedums suggests that this can occur with those species too, e.g. S. annuum, S. villosum.
    Just a thought...

It is my best photo of them.

It definitely may be something other than a flower. Perhaps a moss or lichen?
