Seeking confirmation this is a scutellaria galericulata/ marsh skullcap....or is it some form of penstemon? How is it that skullcap would not be in Lewis Clark reference and not in most quick references of common wildflowers I have.... //it is however in Pojar*Mackinnon and it is said to be of wide distribution? It looks like Impatiens glandulifera, Policeman's Helmet, quite an invasive plant because of its exploding seed pods. Here is a write-up from the Sea to Sky Invasive Species Council.
