    The detailed beauty of these small flowers is wonderful. It cascaded from what, I think is a common English wild shrub. Photographed a day or two ago in Kent, UK.

    Spiraea nipponica, I believe.

    I notice that some of the flowers (on internet pictures) of Spiraea nipponica have little dots on the petals, as my plant flower photogragh has, and some do not? Is this just a photographic thing - or does the flower come in various types or do the dots appear with age etc?
